Do you have a link Don??
Yep here it is

https://targa.com.au/tc/page_standar...asset_id=19235

Entry fee is a little expensive but IMO not bad for a 3 day event. It is very well organised and a nice change being able to use the whole road and let rip on closed mountain roads and not have to worry about oncoming traffic.

I have a copy of the course stages if you want to PM me. Looks like a lot of fun and one big car show with lots of modded, competition, classic and OEM cars.

Yes, just the touring. For the CPT classes you need role cage and other various cams CPT requirements.

The touring class is speed limited to 130kph but the stages are mainly winding roads and are sign posted 25 to 45 kph so you will be maxing out at 100kph, maybe 130 kph on some of the faster curves like on the stage up to Mount Buller. You just need to take it easy on the straights.

Of course you can drive these roads yourself but the Tour groups drive the same closed road stages as the competition groups so you can really let it rip and use the whole road without having to worry about oncoming traffic.

Would be great to see some more E90 guys there and have a meet up. I might put up a formal post if there is enough interest.

I'm interested but won't make this year, car might be running by then if things come together for me, but too tight to commit

Sorry Socks,
Sorry to take over your post Socks, but Hoper I notice you're in Canberra. I think it would be worth you coming for the drive down as I plan to go via Jinabyne, Thredbo/Kosciosko, head south to Omea, do Falls Creek/Mt Buffalo & onto Mount Buller. These roads will probably be just as epic as the event!

No worries guys

I would love to do this, but it's the weekend after we get back from Tassie

I don't think the family would be too impressed if I disappeared for two weekends in a row to do driving stuff

Looks like an awesome event, we should organise a group to do all three Targa events in 2020 ??

Now you're talking!

Targa Tasi and Targa High Country are really close to you guys so it is a no brainer. There looks like some amazing roads up at Targa Great Barrier Reef but a long way to go! People do ship their cars but it is expensive.

Car running rough last week. Turned out one of the precat ADV O2 sensors had bitten the dust. Jin replaced both precats with OEM O2 sensors and the car was still running like crap. Turned out MHD has a tick box option for ADV sensors. Once it was unticked (stock option) and the map reflashed, all is good and running silky smooth again. The lesson of the day is check your MHD options lol 😆

Socket. Is the most up to date list of your mods maintained on your first post? Rather than reading 200 plus pages, I thought i would ask. You mention Fossys group buy for the body kit, what make is the kit? I see you have changed spoilers quite a bit, what did you end up with?

Hey mate
Yes page 1 is the list of current and planned mods. It’s updated with each change to the car (including removing tings that are no longer on the car)
The fossy GB was the M3 rep kit from Eurodivision in Melbourne. Front lip, rear bumper, side skirts, front fenders and hood. I have always found the fitment of the Eurodivision parts very good. Haha yes have had a few spoilers. Which one works best depends what n the look you are going for. The M3 boot lid spoiler is subtle and great of keeping the car looking stock. High kick spoiler for an aggressive look. I ended up with a CSL boot that has that duckbill look. All are great options, really depends on what you are after

Here are some pics of the M3, high kick and CSL spoilers/boot on spcgry

Hope this helps mate

Though I would have also gone 2 deg or more on the rear as well.

Yes running Dinan camber plates up front mate
Vince suggested 1.30 on the rears, that said the rear is maxed out according to the technician

Do you have a photo of your car straight from the back.

I'm on the fence if i should paint the plastic trim insert on top of the bumper diffuser.

Rear suspension is multilink so theres no good reason to run lots of static camber for street use. Multilink gains significant camber as it is compressed (ie when youre in a corner), so 1 degree 30 minutes is all you really need on the street imo
