brake pads rubbing?

hi guys i had done my brake pads and rotors 2013 august and today i have 24K KM on the car since then. I need to change my pads again.

i do about 80% city and 20% highway. I do not brake last minute or speed and then brake around town. typical normal driving.

Now i know there are so many factors in driving but does 24K for pads and rotors seem even someone conceivable? or are my pads rubbing?

the rotors are really hot when i touch them after driving. I do here a slight howling noise(but it might be my tires)

If they are rubbing.. what could be the cause? caliper?

Stuck or worn out caliper pins or their bushing guides may cause them to stick. I think this condition would cause one side of the pad wear out a lot then the other side. Not expert on this though.

Rotors are supposed to be hot after using the brakes. What brand of pads did you go with?

What sort of pad and rotor thickness do you have remaining? Has your service brake warning come on?

Or did a mechanic say you need brakes?

im using original BMW parts from dealer. the light went off. I keep resetting it and its good for 1-2 weeks then comes on again. I'm going to inspect the brake pads tonight. I am also getting a squeaking noise from the brakes at slow speeds while turning in my underground parking.

Garage List
Did you replace the sensors when you changed pads or just use the same ones?

changed the sensor.. i just checked my pads. they seem to have about 6-7mm left(almost double of the backing plate. so i assume its the sensor. the rotors didnt show any signs of irregular wear. must be the sensor.
