I don't think the stock ones are removable but you can get these that go over the stock ones http://www.burgertuning.com/billet_e...r_e9x_335.html

I bought a set when they first released them. They are pretty damn hefty and feel really well built. They slip over the stock tips and do a great job of filling the exhaust cutouts in the rear bumper. They also do a great job of not looking like a slip-on tip. The only issue I have had, and this could be because I got one of the first batches, is that over time on the bottom of the tip the black finish has worn off. It doesn't look too bad considering the tip gets covered in black soot anyways, but I figured I would mention it.
