Omg. But you were at home and you had time to do that then, I assume? That's lucky. Because if we are on the side of the street stuck, we won't be able to do that and I guess we just would watch helplessly as the lip gets ripped off.

lol yes ma'am i was. Was going to tow it myself but it was only $120 for a 60mi tow. My e46 sits lower and had it towed once and that was hurtful seeing it being put on the flatbed lol.

Kept snapping aluminium bolts after doing my valve cover gasket so just towed it to my mechanic in the middle of the night out of frustration .

Throw my old e90 in the mix for a wpump as well, hammered it in 2nd gear and shot the rpms up too fast, then she went limp and pee'd all over herself.

What's funny is how many of us retain photos and video of our car being towed onto a flatbed.

I have one, but it wasn't for any mechanical failure it was my own stupidity, I just can't find it right now

For the one fellas that got towed with a non-flatbed truck... perhaps not the best idea.

This kind of thread also reminds me of why I will never lower my car....EVER. I barely made it onto the flatbed as I am sitting with my M-sport!!

I honestly don't know how any of you do it.

Make sure you let the company know you're low before they dispatch a driver. Roadside assistance always use the same towing company for me. They always make sure they have a few 2x4s when I hear my name.

They should ask you on the phone if you need a flatbed or not anyway. Pretty positive you have to tell them if it's awd or rwd when making the call for the tow. And let's all be serious. We all hate being towed when being low but we all love the low look and that's not going to change anytime soon. If you can't handle removing the bumper off then you shouldn't be low. Everyone who drops their car is aware that it'll happen sooner or later . If you can't handle that, it's time for bags haha

I think it's pretty cool. It's like my car is getting a lift because she is too precious
