New front brakes on my 335i

My newly acquired 335i had new rear brakes, but needed new fronts. The seller disclosed this to me.

He sold a really nice like new 335 to me. The braking was still good but the rotors were pretty worn.

I bought the Meyle rotors and Textar pads. These are very high quality and was impressed with the rotors as I am used to buying the regular auto parts store greased up rotors. lol

The braking has that nice BMW initial bite and am very happy with them.
The only downside to the semi metallic pads is the wheel dust.

Welcome to BMW ownership lol , brake dust is out of this world on these cars . I could go clean my wheels right now, drive for 15 mins, and there will be brake dust on the wheels .

In my experience, Akebono pads provides a great bite and minimal dusting. Perhaps give that a shot next time

I put Textar on mine. Love the bite, hate the dust. I have a Porsche and Acura TL. Both of these vehicles have high bit pads and way less dust than the Textar.

My C7 has the awful dusting also, but the bite is second to none.

Ceramic coat your wheels and brake dust will be a thing of the past.

Decent bite for a ceramic pad, still doesn't come close to the semi-metallic pad.
