Turbo Seals DIY?

I'm taking the down pipes out for a engine mounts DIY soon. I figured while I'm in there, I might as well replace the turbo seals, which have 153,000 miles on them.

Is there a DIY on this. Is there any information I need to know in order to do this DIY? From pics on Google, it looks as if all have to do is run a pick around the edges and pry them out, and then press the new ones in by hand?

Any tricks ?

Unless there's some secret I'm not aware of taking out the downpipes will not get you anywhere near the turbo seals. Like saying I'm doing my oil change might as well replace my rod bearings while I'm there.

Edit: unless you are talking about the gasket between the turbos and downpipes?

Salt from the road won't get on the turbos unless you drive around without bottom plastic engine cover. I have done many and only issue are the bolts for dp to exhaust. Rest is ok. My personal 335i was used as test mule for 3 diferent no name dp and gaskets never leaked. So honestly I won't bother with them unless they are leaking and you are 100% they are leaking. Also. No need to remove dp for engine mount replacement. I sure don't do it.

I'm just replacing the bolts that connect the DP's to the the rest of the exhaust.

I am following this DIY for the engine mounts.

I installed downpipes not too long ago. I replaced the gaskets but in all honesty, I don't think it's a must. That said, they are pretty darn cheap so why not? Some sort of pick tool will help get a grip on the ring and they should come right out.
