Help: Code P10D9 Very hard start.
Well I thought my issues where solved seems like these cars are nothing but problems.
Checked all connections everything is right. Car won't start now. I installed the hpfp 2 days ago it worked fine until this morning it wouldn't start after trying about 15 times I finally got it to stay running but was idling very rough. Itll start back up when car is still hot but once it cools down it's hard to start. Getting code P10D9 while driving car is barley making power almost like limp mode. I was looking around the hpfp and I noticed the round drum piece with the lip around it came off the hpfp. I put it back into the pump maybe that's what's causing this there was also alot of oil around it. (I plan to swap the fuel pressure sensor tomorrow) if anyone else has had something like this happen please help. Last edited by Scantrell; 06-03-2019 at 04:38 PM.. |

Well installed a new regulator and It did nothing same exact issue. New lpfp comes tomorrow and another high pressure sensor(maybe the first new one was faulty) if that doesn't fix it I honestly don't know what to do. Maybe put the orginal hpfp back on and see if that fixes it

I agree I think it is definitely fuel related. I have a feeling its something going on with the electrical side of things. When I swapped the new sensor from BMW on It I got a code(2BDA) that said I had a short to earth. I have another sensor coming today a long with a new lpfp. I'm hoping it's not the hpfp I just bought it. It was used with only 30k miles. It worked for 2 days perfectly then these problems occurred and I've talked to the guy already and he said he wouldn't refund me if it was the hpfp that failed after 2 days.

Sounds like he sold you some bullshet, That's one reason why i don't like buying used fueling parts. If paid with PayPal try to disputing the payment. Keep us updated, i hope replacing the hpfp isn't the case but i would consider it after accessing all other fueling components. 2BDA - Rail pressure sensor, electrical: Short circuit to ground

I honestly hope he didn't he's been on the e90post a while so I trusted him. But I did buy through PayPal with goods and services so maybe I can dispute if it does come down to it. |

30k is like half the life of the pump... not sure if FCP still has them but buy one from them with the lifetime warranty.
