I think you sort of answered your own question

Anyone local is welcome for a ride along etc.

I think you would be very happy with them. Turners are rebranded or they bought the design or company iirc.

Any specific questions just let me know.
Keep us posted, Torgus. I did not do poly mounts because I read here that the turbo side of the engine gets so hot that the motor mount there will melt and fail. So, for the moment I went OEM.

Not if you wrapped it in DEI GOLD reflective tape.

The rev shift motor mount comes with a heat shield from the factory. It is just a boot you put over it. If things change I will let you know.

You can Google a picture of it. Hopefully it works as I dont want solid mounts.

That's still just a theory...you seem to be the only guinea pig that's employed this method thus far.

LOL...

The Turner Motor Mount on the passenger side does come with a ceramic spacer, which is supposed to negate excessive heat to the passenger side mount. I called Turner and asked them about this since the mounts did not come with any literature or instructions what so ever.

There was one other guy on the forum that used DEI gold tape, which is where i got the inclination to use it in this situation. I originally did not use any DEI tape upon initial install. I went back in after about a week or so and then wrapped it with the DEI gold tape. I figured better safe than sorry.... I know this stuff works very good. I have it on my silicone outlet and can verify with a laser temp reader that the temps on the outlet vs the temps on the turbo exhaust manifold are about 150-200 degrees lower on the outlet right next to it.

I am sure the gold tape is better than nothing at all.

Has anyone tried the new turner solid mounts? My motor will be out and I want to put in AKG 75d's but the TMS solids are on sale. Car is still DMFW which I read dampens much of the effect

I wouldn't put those on unless your car is purely a track car.

My 034 mounts failed with 11k miles on them. Shifting became very mushy , then I started hearing on/off throttle clunking. Turns out one of them completely separated

My car is FBO with inlets and an e50 wedge tune. Also have a 335is clutch with steel SMFW. I was worried about the rev shift bits being too race car but didnt want mushy OEM stuff.

Only 20 miles or so on the rev shift 80a black mounts and they are BEEFY. Raised idle to 900rpm, little more noisy/vibey from a standing start but still wife/girlfriend approved. Shifting is bolt-action and very direct. I anticipate they will soften up slightly over the next few hundred miles which is perfect. Will keep you guys posted.

So can we agree that if price is of no object, the best OEM+ (keeping NVH at bay but increasing stiffness to a reasonable amount) would be 335is mounts for both passenger and driver side mounts, as well as E46 M3 tranny mounts for the transmission?

This is from my understanding a while back, I don't know if anything new has come out.

Checking back in with ~700 miles on the rev shift 80a mounts. They softened up another 50% and make shifting, accel etc. better in every way. My only NVH related complaint is when taking off from a stop there are additional vibes in the 700-800rpm range, but these can be avoided altogether by slipping the clutch a tiny bit more. I barely notice it any more. Very happy customer.

I also have the Revshift 80A durometer engine mounts. Car is a n54 manual XI. Idle rpm set to 900 rpms and the vibration isn't too bad. Get slightly more vibration with AC at idle. Its tolerable. When driving at higher rpms, can't tell there is any more vibration than stock mounts.

under 800 rpms, the resonance is maddening. I would't deal with it. Idle raise is a must.

Shifting is much better and I no longer feel the motor flopping around, like with the stock mounts.

OEM IS mounts FTW. They wont melt into goo like the silicone will.

I've had the Turner 60a Poly motor mounts & the Rogue Engineering Trans mounts for almost a year and around 13,000 miles or so.

All I can say is awesome setup.

If you are running MHD stage 1+ or 2+, and a trans tune like xHp, you'd be crazy not to upgrade your trans & motor mounts considering the amount of torque we are talking about.

Silicone is good for up to 500 degrees. You can wrap the passenger side mount in DCI gold tape if you are worried about the heat.

Folks say that but then when i google all i find are story's about collapsed or melted mounts.
Point is the IS mounts are proven and if ordered from FCP Euro carry a lifetime warranty. That's unmatched as far as i know .

I've had mine for 13,000 miles. No issues. They come with a heat diversion plate for the passenger side. I wrapped this side with DEI gold tape, which is good to 750 degrees. It works. I used a laser temp reader. The mount sits under 200 degrees. The exhaust manifold sits around 450 degrees. Proven fact.
