What new radiator and fan did you go with? A custom build?

The E90 post guys weren't interested in any kind of sponsorship at all. Like not responding to emails. We would have loved to show the name on the car

we shaved a good 700-900lbs stripped down to just drivetrain. Since Mid-Ohio we have gutted both back doors. Are putting on Seibon CF pre LCI hood and trunk and doing some intake work to get power up. We are also switching from Steel to aluminum seat brackets and making everything as light as possible to get as close to the minimum weight required by grand am.

Cool! Just wondering... Do you happen to know the part number for the 535 oil cooler? If it actualls helps I think I might install one also to help the car run cooler. And if you guys are ever in the San Diego area let me know! I'd love to see your car in person.

It's been an exciting few weeks.

Seibon sent us pre lci hood and trunk. Hood fits almost perfectly just needs a little work where the pre lci kidney pieces go. Trunk fits perfect. Trunk lights line up though when looking down at them you can see slight differences.

We shaved 100+ lbs off the car with driver and fuel we are down to around 2700

new manifold setup is in the works to boost power.

Custom alternator bracket is being made as well to ditch the AC compressor.

We will be dyno testing our new intake setup next week to see what feeds us the most power and will even put a BMW performance airbox on the car to see if it has any decent gains

Very nice! You need to let us know what intake works out the best. I have the Dinan intake on my car. I would think that the BMW Performance intake with a lower intake tube like the Dinan would be the best. I'm thinking you're going to be fully shielded so you aren't pulling in all the hot air from under the hood.

Also, I'm getting my Diffsonline LSD installed next week. I saw that you guys are running it as well as a bunch of other guys. That's why I went with them. Dan hooked me up for sure. I only went with 3.38 gearing as I didn't want to go with 3.64. I do track my car and will be on Lightning in late August with BMWCCA.

Thanks for all the updates. The car looks great.

Ya Dan is the best when it comes to diffs. We will be dyno testing the intake like I said to see if there are any real world gains to be had.

There shouldn't be much of a difference intake manifold wise between a 330 anymore
either

Nice. How much extra did you strip out? And have you guys modified your valvetronic or anything like that?

And how much extra weight is around the engine compartment? Anything at all?

for what it's worth even in 104F ambient temps at infineon during open track HPDE i didn't feel the car pulling any timing. not sure it is worth it to spend money on cooling unless you are racing in a "pro" series like the OP.. (that said i'm biased, i think the best use of a 328i is as a stepping stone for picking up skills in a slow car before moving on to something else, so i don't believe in spending money on changes)

Haha. Alright. I just really like my car and i want to make it the best it can be. Yeah its a "slow car" but im probably gonna keep it because of all the work ive personally done to it. (I'm a DIY kind of guy, so being my first car ive modded it means a lot to me) And I want to see the look on peoples faces when i overtake them in my little 328
