45,000 - 31,000 = 14,000. Now I have not factor in the new 335 price. So you must make alot of money to be able to take a $14,000 loss.

Also don't forget about sales tax, which you'll have to pay twice. I bet you the difference between the two won't make it worthwhile, if you're just looking for power.

this is like the 200th post on the same subject
we should make one thread titled "I wanna trade in my 330i for the 335i, how much money would I lose?"

I'd try to buy your car for 31k.

Great idea. That's way we can post one "Too much, don't do it" answer and be done with it.

45k-31k=14k , you lost 14K ~31%, 32,000km

70k+9K(mod)-46k , i lost 33K , ~42%, 10,000 km

plus the 335i also depreciates.

if you can be sure to drive the 335i for five years, go ahead. But they might have a 340i later

I wouldn't rush to upgrade. It is still basically the same car, with a bit more power.

I drove the 335 last Friday, and it wasn't enough difference to make me want to upgrade "right now" and take a big hit. Maybe for a 335xi next year, we'll see.

Plus, why pay premium price now? You can wait for the initial demand to slow down, and prices will ease.

SuperSport, nice ride! How does it compare to the 550?

The question is, what about the 335i makes you want it? Just the extra HP? Especially after your modded your car, what's so urgent to go 335i? If that's all you're looking for I'd hold out for an M3... you still got a lot to get out of your current car.
