Driver's Door Panel Issue

Noticed that the driver's door handle part was pulling away from the door panel. Took the car to the BMW dealership and they told me that they have to replace the entire panel. That they can't just pull the current panel off and snap them back into position. Anyone else experience this issue? I have attached a picture.

You could take the panel off and peek back there. Or maybe see if there are DIY's of door panel removals with pic's posted. Then look to see if they have pictures of the inside. Or buy epoxy and glue it from the inside of the door panel.

The good thing is that I still have 1200 miles before my 50k miles warranty runs out. The dealership ordered the new panel 2 weeks ago. So I dropped off the car this morning thinking it will take about 2-4 hours, but it looks like they forgot to order a part that goes with the panel. So I should get the car back in 2-3 weeks

Strange, my door panels are solid. Have had them off a number of times to replace the speakers and wiring and whatnot, never had a problem like that.

Maybe you should have gone with Saddle Brown

Picked up my car yesterday. I was told that a new door panel and handle was ordered and installed. To me it looks like the same door panel and handle. I think they just pulled the door panel off and snapped the handle back into position. I wonder how much they charged BMW for this.

Sounds like my dealer. The only problem I had with my car was a deflating lumbar support in the drivers seat. It took a couple of hours to deflate, but it was kinda annoying. I took it back to the dealer under warranty and they said they replaced the lumbar support bag. Still had the same problem. I was sorry I lost it for a couple of days because there was no change. Taking them at their word, I would guess the leak is in the compressor. One day I will take the unit out and use soapy water to try and find the leak and patch it up.

I usually take the car in the service bay show them the problem, they create a service appt and order the parts. I come back when the parts are in and pick up my car the next day.

Both my drivers and passenger side air vents broke.
