N55 in E9X vs F22/F30?

Are they the same or different, it looks like something changed, as the baseline power looks a little higher?

F series has pneumatic or electronic wastegates depending on year. Stock F series turbo is slightly bigger than stock E series. Flash tuning on F requires removing the ecu for at least the first flash. E HPFP can handle more E85 than F. Parts like CP, DP and IC are different between the two. Both have similar power potential when modded. F series can get maybe 20whp more on stock turbo than E when maxed out.

Oh snap. Looks like the Axiom is ready to get out of the NA and into some forced induction.

It's nothing I will do immediately, but the power is strong, and my ability to resist weakens everyday.

We really shouldn't be helping this guy after how much he talked trash about 335s and their owners. He was banned at one point for doing that.

Maybe you guys can help me with my question. I have 2012 335i that has the N55 engine. Dinan has made one for the N54 and M55 even though it states E9X mine doesn't fall under it cause of something about production month. Can you guys help.

Looking at putting after market turbo. Currently have Dinans S1 package (Dinan3).

Don't waste your money. Go look up Pure stage 2.

I'm actually curious too. The E90 N55 with Pure Stage 2 looks to be an impressive daily with more reliability than my N54.

+1 becoming interested in a f30 n55 myself. Makes enough power for a DD and should be reliable.

Interesting. Seems we have the "In between" car. Prod date was 1/2012. Today I will be speaking with Jake at www.motivmotorsports.com. He will explain the capabilities of his products such as a custom tune and/or turbo upgrades. Pure Turbo seems to be the first to come to mind but I shall explore nonetheless. Check out his sight....numbers are amazing!

Interesting. I'm not sure what the major changes would have been. The only change I know of is the DME switch from MEVD172 to MEVD1726.
