BMW no charge maintenance

I would like to ask you all who has factory warranty left on your beloved bmw.
When was your air filter, cabin filter, and brake fluid changed since the car was purchased?
My dealer(Parkview) says brake fluid, air filter, and cabin filter is serviced 3 years after the production date. Does that sound right?
I thought those services are done 2 years after the purchase date.
Please share your experience with your dealer.

Thanks,

my idrive mentions brake fluid after 3 years, so my guess is that what they told you was correct

Thanks,
Interval for the brake fluid flush and microfilter is time based, and is every two years starting from production date.

For example my car is a MY2011 with production date of Apr 2010, and in service date of Oct 2010. My brake fluid flush & cabin filter change was completed by BMW Toronto in Apr 2012 (or about 1.5 yrs after I took delivery) and is due again in Apr 2014 (next month). As long as you don't hit the mileage threshold first, you should get this service for free twice within your 4-yr no charge maint window.

If your dealer is telling you 3 yrs I believe they are mistaken - point them to the service & warranty guide, it is very clearly stated in there. The CBS indicator in your car should be asking for the service every two years anyway.

Indeed it does say brake fluid service is due 2 years after the production or whenever the cbs says. My cbs is showing 3 years after the production. Does that mean my dealer deliberately changed the date because they want to perform only one brake fluid service during the factory warranty period?
I emailed Bmw canada to verify the brake fluid service interval for my model.

Maybe they changed the interval from 2 years to 3 years. Anyone else had the brake fluid service done after 2 years from the production?

I have a 2011 328i xDrive and it was produced in 2010. The first brake fluid flush and cabin filter was changed in June 2012 when the service indicator warning was displayed. The service indicator now shows the next brake fluid change is due in June 2014. The car only has 38,000 Km now, so this is not based on mileage but time. Looks like the change interval is 2 years.

I am in the same boat.
Third year service coming up and all they are saying it will need is oil change. (Feb 2011 build 328i 33k)
Would really like to know what BMW Canada replies back to you.
My car says nothing to be done till 2015, even oil change. Don't think its right.

Bmw Canada suggest that I should talk to the service manager. I emailed them twice and that is all they say.

Thanks for update
Keep us updated what your service manager ends up doing.
I'm going to try another avenue.
Might see what I can find out.
