Anyone feeling generous about sharing their Carly in London?
Hi,
My car's complaining about high braking load. I took it to a garage that "fixed" it while replacing the front calipers but now it's back after two days. My guess is that they simply wiped the error codes without actually investigating it because they did mention they didn't find anything wrong, it could be a very small sensor related problem for all I know. I've tried using INPA to diagnose the problem myself but for some reason the program doesn't have the files for my N46 engine [2010 320i]. I've identified two other BMW specialists around my area that charge £60 just to diagnose the car which I will probably have to pay as a last resort if I can't find anyone willing to help. But before that I wanted to reach out here to see if anyone can diagnose my car using Carly to narrow down the problem. I appreciate that this may be an odd request but I'm beginning to doubt these mechanics and don't want to be ripped off for a potentially small issue. I'm in the E4 area by Chingford/Highams Park and can drive up to you. Thanks. Last edited by billabong02; 07-21-2020 at 02:44 AM.. |

I bit the bullet and ended up going to the specialist. He diagnosed it for £60 and found that the car needs a new air flow sensor and there's a vacuum leak.
Feels like a bit of a rip off but oh well... |
