I have a rear view mirror with the high-beam assist camera and new surround trims with the clips intact (bought recently from BMW; most used ones have all the clips broken and therefore don't latch into place). I bought this for my (now sold) 330i, and its replacement 335i has high-beam assist installed from the factory so I don't need it.

It's a very easy retrofit, requiring only two new wires to be installed which can be picked up from the roof module just behind the mirror, so there is very little work in running the wires. Once coded, the car will detect oncoming vehicles and automatically dip the main beams. There is a good installation guide on this site in the DIY section of the forum.

The mirror has the auto-dimming and alarm LED functionality, so should be equivalent spec to most UK E90/E91/E92 cars except those with a compass or garage door opener built into the mirror. It's not compatible with E93 convertibles which have an antenna built into the mirror.
