I don't have the premium package, so no BMW Assist. I've got the AAA equivalent BMW Roadside Assitance, but that's it.

When I called the insurance company (Metropolitan) and inquired about a discount for the 'Vehicle Recovery System' which I have as part of the Premium Package for the next four years, I was told that 'Lojack' is the only Vehicle Recovery System which qualifies for a discount because BMW's plan is considered to be a 'pay as you go' type of deal which can be terminated- unlike Lojack where once its installed, you have the thing for as long as you own the car.
That's BS. I'm getting the 35% discount with the BMW Vehicle Recovery System. Tell them to give you the discount or you'll drop them!

for those ppl that drives less than 7000 miles a year...keep your inspection receipt every year so you can show your insurance for another 10-15% off

but I lost my receipt from this year

Well you're a male, driving a 4dr race car, I'm presuming you are (were) under 21 and maybe had some tickets and/or accidents.

I'm a girl, 20, with a clean record, driving a family sedan.

They wanted $7000/6 months too when I moved from CT to FL but I didn't pay that, I just shopped around for new insurance and got it down to about $2200/6 months but that was with my TSX and I was 18 with an accident and a ticket.

I think they know what they're doing because i totaled the car 3 months after i got it lol it only had 4k miles on it. The accident was 0% my fault and 100% the other persons so they coverd everything and i also had GAP insurance so its all done with and now i go to the chiro for back pains. I miss that car so muchh but hopefuly my 335 could make up for it. Thats going to be under my moms name also lol.

Spaz - I totally agree with you on this point... Between Car Insurance or the Gun Laws, I don't know which laws are worse in MA..

[rant] Let's throw in a ringer - taxes. Excise tax, inspection fees (and the time it takes to get it done every year), 5.3% state income tax (despite a successful ballot measure that the politicians refused to acknowledge), and high property taxes. That is just off the top of my head. [/rant]

Have anyone of you bought GEICO insurance online? I just got a quote online and was able to purchase it. However, I try calling them up and they gave me a rate that's double what I saw online!...So I asked if the online quotes doesn;t work right, I mean...a 10-20% difference could make up for the screwy system, but 100% difference is abit hard to believe....anyone bought their GEICO online? I am wondering if they would do a bait-&-switch, sending me a bill asking for more money after I paid everything online.
