Saturday would work for me. I figure I could even get the car washed somewhere beforehand to get some of the grime off of it.

Any ideas yet as to where in Boston we would meet up? I figure we'd want someplace to park the cars for a bit, check them out, then drive somewhere for a quick bite to eat.

This sounds good. Anyone have any suggestions? It'd be really cool to have Boston in the Background of our pictures? Anyone have a good picture spot that would allow room for the cars with Boston as the backdrop? And then a good local pub, restaurant, etc or with a large parking lot?

Okay, so tomorrow is Wednesday. If we are going to do this, let's finalize plans tomorrow. Any suggestions on location, or should I just look around google maps and make something up??

Again, let's finalize the details by tomorrow, so people can do what they need to do to attend..

Josh...thanks for taking the lead.

The one thing we should think about is that we want to stay away from malls and shopping areas given that it's less than three weeks to Xmas.

Next update. No one had any suggestions, so I spent an hour looking at google maps to look for a good place. (I'm new to this area). My goals -

find a place a drop out of Boston, so we don't have to worry about traffic, congestion, people bugging us..

pretty close to the highway (93), so people coming from north and south don't have to go through 10 miles of stop and go.

somewhat scenic for pictures

lots of parking

This is what I came up with. It's in Stoneham, the Stone Zoo parking lot actually. I figure a zoo is probably dead this time of year, and the parking lot is really big for the type of traffic that zoo probably gets in the summer even. If we take the last row of spots closest to the water, I think that should make for some good pictures. The roads look new and smooth. Doesn't look like anyone would really bug us there. I don't know any restaurants close by but I am going to look for some. The address is 149 Pond St, Stoneham, MA 02180. Here are some pics.

GTG on Saturday at 1:30 pm. We could exchange some phone numbers through pm's too, but it looks really straightforward to get to. Tell me what you guys think (although no one had any suggestions anyhow)..

I've got a few errands to run -- primarily dropping my winter wheels off to Rim & Wheel Works for straightening and then mounting of my new winter tires -- so I prob'ly can't get there until about 1 PM or a bit later. Assuming the weather's decent, I'll be in the M5.
