32xi to 330i conversion questions

Having done some research, but finding conflicting answers; I wanted to confirm facts with the experts on this board.

The BeemerLabs tune that is referred to in some threads is a copy of the stock 330i tune (with some changes made for compatibility perhaps).

An RSA delete is needed in order to flash the BeemerLabs tune.
This is included with the BeemerLabs archive when following the instructions in the excellent thread by E92William linked above.

The powerclass determines the engine mapping, where the base engines between the 325, 328 and 330i are mechanically identical minus the 3-stage intake on the 330i.

The BeemerLabs tune includes a powerclass upgrade (to 330i powerclass) as part of the tune.

The 3-stage intake manifold requires the a ECU tune in order to operate (such as the BeemerLabs 330i tune).

Is all the above correct?

Does the BeemerLabs tune provide any benefit power-wise without the 3-stage intake manifold coming from a 328i ?
Down low? Mid-range? High-RPMs?

The 3SIM doesn't need a tune to operate but optimal performance is with a tune. For the $300-400 for a 3SIM and a free tune, it's a great mod if you do the work yourself

It'll work without the 3-stage, and provide some power benefits, but definitely not the same as with the 3-stage installed.
