My blower has stopped working in my 08 335xi. It worked 2 days ago. Got in it and went to turn on the heat and the fan will not blow. Display shows it is on full blast but it's not actually blowing. Any ideas?

had the same issue, my ac wouldn't turn on and no air came out.. for me it was the blower motor regulator. It was like 90 bucks and took 30 minutes to replace.

I checked the fuses which all seem to be good. Last time it worked I turned it to full blast but it didn't turn on until like 3 minutes later then worked normal. Now it won't turn on a at all. I can hear the vents shifting when I select them. How does one test the control module?

When you test drove vehicle after "blinking lights" stopped per earlier post (below) was the blower working?

Your TWO issues MAY be related. You should be aware that there is a recall related to the blower motor wiring harness per the attached RCRIT. You can go to either the BMW Owner site (and register) or to the NHTSA site, and determine if YOUR vehicle has had the recall performed, simply by entering your VIN:

There are TWO screws, T-20 IIRC, which hold the rear (closest to passenger seat) edge of the trim pad above the front passenger footwell. Remove those two screws and the footwell light connector, and you can remove the trim pad to examine the blower motor wiring connector and the "Final Stage Resistor" to which the connector attaches. The blower is located directly above the footwell.

The nature of the fault is that the connector gets too hot and melts wiring insulation at the connector, allowing the Ground and 12V+ wires which are NEXT TO EACH OTHER to short. This will blow the Blower fuse, F88 in YOUR 2008 vehicle, per the wiring diagram below:

Abnormal erratic draw by the blower motor Final Stage Resistor would account for BOTH the issues you describe, and if F88 blew yesterday when the light blinking went away, that WOULD essentially solve the issue. Do NOT replace F88 if blown. DO inspect the blower connector as described above.

You are the man. Soon as i get off work I will inspect the wires. Also will check the recall

The car has not had the recal done. Going to check if I can get it in Wednesday
