no cutting. but it makes life easier if you cut the corner of the stock CCC cage to easier route the cables.

I think this is more likely the direction. I just worry about the very limited instructions to do the install haha

I just installed an Android 11 unit 6gb/128. Everything works quite well except I find when i shut off the car for longer than a minute but say less than 5, then start the car up (dropping the kids off at childcare scenario), the idrive controller no longer responds. I reset the Android unit, same problem. I reset the CCC idrive unit (pressing volume+eject+eject), same problem. I switch off car, walk away for an hour or so, then it works ago. Anyone have the same issue or can shed some light on how to fix?
