Why did I buy a BMW extended warranty?
Well...I'll tell you. :
Funny enough, I was just driving out of the dealer, and fortunately this happened only a few hundred feet away. Back in my loaner and awaiting word. To my best guess, somebody effered up when changing out the oil gasket. |

I was revving my Dinan free flow in the service center. Maybe someone remotely triggered it for making too much noise |

LOL, so are you trying to say you are grateful for the warrantee so you are covered when the dealer eff's up your car, or frustrated you have to have warrantee work performed by imbeciles? Sorry for your pain but LOL, ROTFL, LOL
I have felt both in the past dealing with the stealer. Is this all just an intelligence test? Did we pass? LOL! Good Luck Bruce

No matter what, I'm covered, that's all I'm saying. So let's hope it wasn't incompetence, but you know what they say- guilty until proven innocent! |

At this point I am merely speculating at what this vague engine icon really means, and being only a few hundred feet from the dealer didn't give me much time to pull any codes- so let's just say they're innocent until proven guilty
Those who have met me during my various sales of car items and know me in real life know that I'm a pretty nice guy, and I'll do anything I can to help someone. Faz is also one of those exceptional human beings. Don't get me wrong, I've done small things like changing my intake and my cabin filter, along with various lights around the vehicle. I am an IT guy by trade, and I fix problems for people on a daily basis. Hell, I have even branched out and fixed two toilets in my own house. Perhaps one day when I have more time to spare and actually have room to work on a vehicle, maybe I will learn more If you buy a service, and a particular product, you should expect some level of quality with that product. Over the years of owning BMWs, I am certainly not foolish enough to believe this so much anymore. In fact, this very well might be my last BMW. Sorry for the rant, but it's barely 6:30 in the morning and I guess I've just had a long week and way too many beers last night. Have a rockin weekend everyone |

I got that too and it was VANOS....cheaper to pay out of pocket or DIY, that was the only thing my car did under the 7/100...it's weird because I'm in the same mentality with my wife's car, got an extended warranty for 3/54 beyond factory, and we're only 5 mos. into it.
I feel anything can happen and we are good (ac issues on this vehicle are 3k). But the mfg wouldn't sell the extended warranty to lose, they sell to make money. I lost on the BMW extended warranty, wonder if the same will happen on my wife's.... |
