Reputable shop to install Escort detector in SE Michigan?
Looking for a reputable shop in the Ann Arbor/Metro Detroit area to install a Passport 8500ci Plus. As this is more than a simple hardwire, would like to make sure the shop knows what they are doing. Anyone have audio/detector work done around here?

Extreme Car Audio on 28th Street in Grand Rapids has done excellent stereo installs in both my E90 and in my girlfriends MINI. I would fully trust them to do a Escort install.

That may be true... Except they charge an ass load to get minor work done... I pass by everyday and could only imagine how much they charges the lambos and ferarris on their lot.

I rather pay a premium for peace-of-mind when it comes to my cars electronics rather than regret it later. Their prices really are not that far out of line when compared with any shop that offers the range of services that they will do. When we brought the Mini in for a sub install I requested that they put the amp where the CD changer would go so it was nice and out of the way and didn't take up any extra space. The guy who installed it said it was the hardest install he had done in over 20 some years. Turned out great and we knew that it was going to be done right.

Thanks for the suggestions, but was hoping to find something in the metro Detroit area! I know the places that do work on exotics do a great job, but sure do charge for it. I was hoping to spend ~$200 for the install, not $600+.

I just dug up the receipt from the bottom of the pile in the folder with all of my e90 related receipts and in 2008 labor was $25 per hour for sub/amp install. I cant find the 2010 receipt from the Mini but I feel like that sounds about right.

What's the name of the shop? I am looking for installers to install ZR4 shifters on my cars.
