Tyre pressure for non-rft 19"s?

So question for those have made a switch to normal tyres what tyre pressures do your non-RFT 19" at?

New (2 me) wheels been fitted to the 335D this afternoon...well only the rears as one of the front tyres is split and not safe so they have ordered me a new 235/35ZR19 F1.

So by tomorrow lunchtime I should be in a position to take some better shots but here's a little quad_snap

Red, I`d run them at 35 psi all round. Forget the reccomended higher pressures at the rear as my 1st set of rears were at 2 mm centre and 4 mm edges. At 35 psi they were wearing perfectly.

I wish I kept them now , my local dealer wants to put another set of wheels on the car to see if that changes anything but are having problems sourcing a set.

They look awesome Red.

I'm running 38psi rears (with ICE in the boot) and 35 fronts. 235/35/19 fronts and 265/30/19 rears.

cheers for all the info I think i will go with 35 PSI all round to start with.

I'm interested to see how running these wider 19"s over the 17" runfarts alters the MPG..if at all

I am running 35 front and 37 rear, and it feels just fine - remember mine is a tourer though, so 35 all round should be just fine - As P-Nick suggested

I had 16rft before and "the ride" isn't much different to be honest - the only time I notice is when you get those lines that show you are entering a village etc (UK)

Hi Nick,
You may know this. Just wondering if it will be possible for me to replace the factory-fit 225/35/19 & 255/30/19 RFT Bridgestones with 235/35/19 & 265/30/19 non-RFT tyres - on the OEM 225M rims?

I ask because it seems there is a greater selection out there for the slightly larger sizes.

Thanks.

You can but the rims are a bit narrow. Tyres will bulge.

just back from having them fitted. I will say teh ride quauilty is at l;east as good as on the 17" RFT on my short test run. teh turn-in is way sharper, a definete increase in feel of what is happening with the fronts thru the steering wheel.

Need a longer test run..planned for Sat.

anyway got home took a few ropey snaps...

got home and it pi$$ed it down arrrghh

so it had to be cleaned and micro-fibre'd down

Overall very pleased with the look, ride and handling...it might stop me looking at alternatives (for a while)

I usually wouldn't have liked those rims, but on your car they look great!

Congrats on a beautiful car!

I'd really like some more feedback on the ride after your Saturday drive, 'cause I've also ordered my 335d with standard 17" rims, and will maybe change for larger rims with non RFT's.
