Aftermarket 9inch Junsun Android 10 radio ( canbus decoder won't stop beeping )
Hi Guys,
I'm new here and I don't know if any of you had this problem before: So I bought this aftermarket radio on AliExpress Link ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...548bb90axJv4Iw ) The Radio Looks really awesome as it has carplay. The thing is after I installed the radio I was thinking that everything was plug and play but, for some reason is not being like that. I'm currently having 2 issues that I don't know if they're related but they seem so: 1 Issue - After everything is installed, and you turn on the radio... after +/- 10 minutes of usage the Android Canbus Decoder starts beeping and won't stop. You can turn off the radio, turn off the car, remove the car keys and lock the car... but the beep sounds won't stop at all. The only way to stop it is really by unplugging the decoder box and the cables from the android unit. 2 Issue - since I installed the radio and had the first problem above... when this issue starts to happen after a few minutes my cluster console always comes up with a battery red light and a yellow ABS light. I've checked the e90's hidden menu and it seems that the alternator starts to freak out and drops the charging voltage to 10.9V. We could say there's a alternator issue... but here's the weird part: If remove the decoder and unplug the radio connectors... the car seems to be back to normal again, and the alternator voltage after a few minutes comes back to normal and starts charging the car. Shouldn't these radio just be plug and play ? Am I'm missing anything on the connectors?! I've been looking for forums but I can't find anything about this stuff.... Glad If someone can help me |

Thank you very much for the help!
I going to review all the content you send My bmw is a 320D M47 Model from 2006 with Standard Stereo System. So it should be easier! It's weird because everything works and even the sound was working! So I don't understand why In last case I will return the Radio If I can't solved it! Is there any specific brand I should go? |

I don't recommend aftermarket head units.
But in Europe Eonon and Joying seem to be popular as well as Avin read the reviews here. The quality stuff is usually the old name stuff like Kenwood , Pioneer then there is Dynavin. This stuff cost twice as much as these cheap no name stuff for a reason. Last edited by ctuna; 09-19-2020 at 04:49 PM.. |

So a quick update on this topic,
Today I used ODB to look for errors while using the android radio, and then I did the same test with the BMW radio. No problems found while using the BMW built-in system, however, when swapped to the android radio, an error comes up on the battery module. So the issue is really related to the radio itself, now what I would like to understand is: - Is something common with this kind of Android Radio? - Is the issue coming from the Can Bus Decoder? - Do we need to any change on the battery module to make it work ? |

It's pretty obvious there is nothing wrong with the car and the device you
are attaching is totaly screwing up communication on the can bus. Try running Inpa Functional jobs with the original configurations and the Unit plugged in . (If you have it) If the canbus decoder is separate does it require power and is it hooked up? Try monitoring the battery voltage before and after hooking the unit up. Be sure you have a fully charged battery working on these cars will drain the battery as they stay awake and always draw current. A low battery will cause all kinds of ghost failures. Did they give you any instructions on how to hook it up or how to set up the canbus protocol. Last edited by ctuna; 09-19-2020 at 05:31 PM.. |

Yeah they did!
Before I did these last tests with Carfly OBD, I erase the Radio to factory settings and setup the decoder from scratch. This time I didn't had the beeping sounds on the decoder, but the last time that it happen was 3/4 minutes after I started driving. With the car stopped I never had those beeping sounds. Unfortunately I don't have a diagnostic cable to test with Inpa :/ |

So a quick update on this question.
Today I performed a few troubleshooting steps requested by Junsun and these weird beeps coming from the Android decoder box only happen when I put the car em reverse. So I put the car in reverse and as soon switch to first, it will start a non-stop beeping... Now I don't know if this is related but currently one of my rear sensors is broken and I haven't swapped yet... Because of that, my cluster always gives me a parking error with that information.... Do you think there is the possibility the decoder is catching this park sensor error and it won't stop beeping because of that?! |
