I’ve had everything I’ve bought on eBay shipped to my door. I paid $90 USD for the diff shipping, and while that was a lot, I just considered it part of the price. I’ve also bought an entire fender, too. The reason I’ve done this is because the actual price of the part has been so low that even when I factor in high-ish shipping, I’m still coming out ahead...
How can I find out if a 328i diff will fit my car though?

I wouldn't venture out on to the 401 if I were you. That diff is gonna break and when it does it'll probably lock the rear wheels. If that happens at speed on the 401 you're gonna make the six o'clock news... and not in a good way.

There's a good amount of wreckers in southern Ontario with a stock of E90s. Do a search for local auto wreckers and branch out till you reach Toronto, there will be dozens of wreckers in that area.

You may need to actually call them up tho, a lot of places aren't into the whole internet inventory thing.

that's not your problem once they sign a bill of sale and they hand you cash.

as long as you disclosed the issue prior to the sale.

But is bimmer heaven legit? Like I never dealt with them before, do they honour their warranties etc?

No idea, they have a warantee on used parts? Perhaps just that it is not a defective unit? I'm sure they honour that

Oh. Mine wasn't that. It was more of a whine that got louder with speed
