The same thing except $40 cheaper? Looks like it performs the same functions at first glance but then again, I could be totally wrong.
I'd certainly like to hear the difference between the NT510 and the Schwaben labeled unit.

Hardware is likely the same, but what software/firmware differences are there that are exclusive to the Schwaben unit.

BMW Update v7.20

New update was released today for the ECS "Schwaben" Tool. This is exclusive only to the ECS Schwaben Tool.

ECS Schwaben Tool exclusive Update now includes

Injector Coding confirmed
Vehicle Service confirmed
Coil reset adaptation confirmed
Battery registration confirmed
E-Brake retraction confirmed

Couple of pics

There is much more other stuff added, but this was the most important. I was very surprised their was a ignition coil re-calibration (LVS) function when when changing coils. Interesting. Immediately I applies this when I saw it as I am running the new BMW OEM Eldor coils.

Injectors can also be recoded or recalibrated.

Goodbye to the INPA and the Bavarian Technic Tool (BT Tool) and hello to this. Tired of using a laptop, this tool can stay on your car with the bag it comes with.

To see this functions though you will have to select our chassis manually after the Auto VIN search. It then actually pulls the data from the DME instead of pre-loaded data for the model car. It just helps speed things up mainly to read and erase codes. The manually entry gives you everything.

No more freezing when trying to access ABS-DSC modules

Very nice. Do you know if you can do battery programming as well? i.e.- switching from lead acid/agm or amps?

Looks like a quality piece. Would be interesting to compare this to the new common Android devices w/ MHD and Carly apps loaded and unlocked.

Thanks.

Wasn't going to go any further of course and yes it was doing something mechanically. So I guess you would keep pressing 1 to bleed the system out.

They are not Foxwell Technologies, correct, only a reseller. What they didn't tell you is this part about the additional software for BMW that is already included in the ECS Schwaben version of the NT510

You'll find out when you get it.

BuraQ

Thanks for the update man! I've been burried at work and hadn't gotten to update mine yet, needless to say I'll be doing that this weekend. I actually think I have a coil going bad on me anyway, so I may try resetting it before totally throwing it out.

If you have verified a coil is going bad, then it's going bad, No reset is going to fix that. Three things you don't want to play with or cut corners on and those are injectors, coils, and plugs.

The LVS reset is for new plugs in which the part number has changed. The reset clears the old values and then the DME relearns the config of the coil automatically

Injector Coding

Decided to check to see if what was coded in the DME for my injectors were accurate. Injectors have no history of ever being changed, so we can have comfort it all came from the factory and let the blind faith settle in ?

Used the ESC Schwaben tool to pull the values in the DME to see what was coded already for the injectors

Pulled the coils and used my phone's micro pic to capture the coding on the actual injectors. A "camera scope" for Android or Smartphone would be better for this type of job without having to pull injectors

Wrote everything down on paper and then re-enter the codes

After saving and turning the car on to see the final value adjustments cyl 1 and cyl 4 were not coded correctly for a car that has no history of injectors being changed, coming directly from the factory

After the adjustment , the blasted O2 codes don't pop up anymore and acceleration is much smoother now.
