Lowering - I really want to. But, the roads here in Sunny South Africa are not the best. Even with the sport pack suspension, i have to be very careful how i drive.
Oh I see..anyways I have one more question for you, how did you do the dual set-up? I've been doing tons of research on ways to do a 335 style quad set up (didn't like the m3's quads because they're too narrow). A lot of people get a Magnaflow that has one inlet and 2 outlets but I dislike the sound of Magnaflows. I was seeing if it was possible to modify my Remus Powersound into a quad set-up because I love the sound..just trying to get some ideas. So how'd you do yours?

At present, the tail pipes you see are dummies. They are just mounted/welded onto a piece that holds it in place.

However, as soon as the car is out of the panel shop, X-Flow will be doing a full performance system for me and will be routed to the "dummy" tail-pipes.

Doesn't look bad at all..I have a bit more clearance with the Remus so I think I can do it..just going to have to take it to a legit muffler shop in SoCal see what they can work with.

My car is still at the panel shop so no pics however I have some news.

Between waiting for the bumper and getting paint I decided to send the car to Alistair at X - flow for for the exhaust to get fitted. At the moment, I'm not giving out dimensions and specs as I left it in the capable hands of Ali. I have not driven the car although I briefly started and gave it a couple revs and I like it a lot. In fact it's exactly what I wanted.

So my dummy tail pipes are no longer dummies. They are connected and I feel sorry for anyone driving behind me. However, I could not get the Akea slip ons yet. Still on the cards.

So my mod list has a new item.
Xcede Software
X Flow de-dpf
X Flow Exhaust system

I'm still in 2 minds about the WMI. Will see...

I should get the car back by Wednesday.

Picked up my car this morning... Just got back to the office. Drove from Strijdom Park to Rosebank in bumper to bumper traffic.

Front end looks sweet, clean and brand new. Just annoyed that they stuck my number plate with 2 way tape and not the Velcro i supplied. I will sort that out. Other than that, the color match is spot on. The job is accurate and amazing. Will take some pics soon and post up.

I saw the exhaust setup for the first time this morning and it is amazing. Alistair and his team know what they doing. Straight pipe with 2 bullet boxes. Only downfall is the boot is getting sooted up. But that's cool, i will sort that out sometime by turning the tail pipe a little towards the ground. Wont be noticeable to the eye.

I did manage to give it some stick and i love the sound. At idle and low rev, sounds like a petrol 6 cylinder, as you foot it it gets quieter and you hear the turbo spin. On normal driving, when the auto box changes gear it sounds like a DSG. And i can feel a performance increase (wont bet on it yet, could be the upgrade from the Sloyota talking)

Quick pic of the exhaust setup at the tail end.

Man o man, did i miss my car. Glad to have her back. This weekend i will focus on some TLC for her. Got a few small cosmetic items i need to add on and replace.

Before:

Tarnished badge and chips around the badge:

The worst:

After: (Excuse the filthy car, rained yesterday)

Will upload more detailed pics after a good wash. There are no chips, its just dirt.

And after one day of driving"

Got a love hate relationship with this exhaust now! Love the sound, hate the soot.

Replaced the rear tyres yesterday. The outgoing Toyo's have been a pleasure to have.

I had 235 40 18, I replaced them with 245 40 18. So far so good. Need to burn them in, easy job.

Some pics of the new tyres...

Brand: Nexen. They coming standard on the new Chevs, Hynundai's etc... My bru in law is one of their Agents so i got them pretty cheap. Did some research and they seem to be good tyres.

So far, they seem to be holding traction better. But then again, any new tyre would compared to having 10% tread remaining. So, still testing them. They proved well in the rain last night, so im kind of happy.

I liked the stretch of the 235's, but needed wider tracks for traction. 245 seems likes the widest i can go on the M3 wheels on my car due to the lower offset. 255's might catch. I was not happy letting go of the stretched look. However, looking this morning at the car, seems i still have the stretch and the little more wider track. So, WIN WIN situation. I love that...

Hi Guys,

Its me again with some entertainment for you.

So, since the new exhaust system went on, i have not done much to the car, in fact, i did nothing. No new mods...

But, i did make a video today. Left the camera outside my house on record and did 2 go's. First was in "D" on the auto box. Flat down on 2nd gear. Second run was in "DS", flat foot from idle.

I do believe that the exhaust note is louder in DS, compared to D. My imagination??

Onto the Video...

Enjoy
