ACL rod bearings

I'm about to replace the rod bearings on my N54, and King bearings are back ordered a solid month out. I can get ACL bearings within 2 weeks from ECS tuning. King is the brand I always hear about, so I would wait, but FCP, my usual litmus test for quality, sells ACL, not King bearings.
Does anyone have any feedback on ACL bearings?

King is the brand you want to stick with, there is also many vendors on ebay that sell King bearings. Just make sure they are CR222SV standard size

I'd only get these if you planned on going over 600hp & tracking it a lot

Is that for set of 12 shells for all 6 rods? If so it is a very good deal.

It says 6 cylinder "set" so I would assume so. Or maybe it's only 6, never know with how people word stuff these days. Looking forward to finding out, going to buy some for this winter I think.

ECS Tuning is a better deal at $83.25 for 6 rods or 3 times $27.75 ES#4069250. King CR222SV bearings are sold in ‘pairs’ which in this case means 4 shells or enough for 2 connecting rods.

If you're getting just the regular ones then yes ECS is the best price, but the ones specifically commented on were the coated ones. Which is also why I'm sure they are probably for all 12 as they don't want to sell individual coated sets

Cheers, I didn’t see the distinction in the coating, even though it’s the same part number.

Is there any reason NOT to get the Calico coated bearings for my stage 1+ DD / occasional track car? Given that the standard bearings are a month out and the price for the Calico coated bearings is not bad at all.

Well crap, FCP does NOT have Kings, and has no ETA. They cancelled the order.

So... is there any reason not to use the Calico coating bearings? Or ACL bearings?

Update: ACL bearings are also out of stock everywhere with no ETA. F**k it, I ordered the Calico coating bearings.

Happened to me with Pelican Parts. They cancelled. This tells you that n54/55 s55 and n20 and what other engine uses these bearings have high failure rate.
