2009 - E90 - 320i - big flat spot, high RPM

Hi all so i have a conundrum that's really starting to eat at me.

My car stuuters on first start of the day but always starts.... and then any subsiquent start its perfect.

And lately its been running out of power above 4,500rpm. At around 5000, it simply stops accelerating. It sometimes stutters, sometimes hesitates, always flat up there.

I know these engines are gutless but somethings wrong, its significantly down on power.

Mid range is pretty good, low rpm probably a bit flat too.

I recently replaced the plugs, serviced it with new air filter. I also put some injector cleaner in it today which won't have had a chance to make any difference yet.

I run 95RON, sometimes 98 - never anything lower.

What might be the potential causes of this sort of problem?

VANOS actuator solenoid, eccentric shaft sensor, and ignition coils. You don't offer much details, but base on what I'm seeing, those will be the parts I'd suspect.

OK, thanks for the suggestions. I'll look into them.

I'm not sure what else I can provide?
