Hi Guys, I am trying to retrieve 1b.hex file with the USB, but unfortunately, when the Navi is running, and I plug in the USB its immediately exits from the Navigation, and when I am trying to start it again it requires an Activation code. Any ide what is the problem? Thx

Is your car an F31? What year is the car (production date), and what version is the current maps installed? (use iDrive to find out)

This process only works for cars with CIC systems.

Hello, i've got problems to generate the 1B.hex file, on my usb key.

with copie_scr.sh

I use right usb , but not way to generate it, many usb key used of different size, without success.

I've got a 318d of 2011 with CIC abd idrive2

many solutions without enet ?

Does this work on $606 CIC-MID? Since I tried last night and I was not able to pull the 1B file out of the USB glove box and also I was not able to get access to the FTP of the navigation.

Can anyone tell me if the 1b.zip file works also for the Mini nav system? tried 2 different USB sticks, but nothing pulls off.
Any other way to read the 1b-hex file, or just with the cable?

I'm still not able to go after the step 2 (tutorial for NBT). The Connection between E-sys and the car works fine (selected F20 and "via your VIN") but when I click on the "Identify button", the error g175 (Check diagnostic address) happens.
I'm using Diagnostic Address (hex) = 0x63.
Is there any chance that I should be using another Diagnostic Address?

any tip is greatly appreciated

You have ENTRYNAV Head Unit, not NBT. You waste your time, as ROUTE FSC Code cannot be generated.

Maps on the e90 cic bussiness with the samll screen its not doable as the hdd with this nav is 8gb but you can install 2018-1 map my nav was road map europe motion on an ancient 2009 map updated successfully with 2018 road map europe west

I have already managed to recover the previous version. I put the USB with the previous maps and after waiting a few seconds and seeing the error message, it showed another message that the system had detected an "update" and I could go back to the old maps. Thanks.

This car has CIC. I'm sure sure what you're talking about. CIC replaced CCC in 2009 and was available on 3 series from 09-11 when they changed to the NBT system.

It's the same system I have in my 1 series. HIFI has nothing to do with navigation.
