Vcg and ofhg check 325i N52

Hey guys just bought an 07 325i with 107k on the clock.
Power steering pump definitely needs replacing. Quoted £200 to replace with a used one from a breaker.

Needs new discs, pads and shock absorbers all round.

Went for a short drive today only 10miles or so and smelt some burning. Opened the bonnet and this is what I see...

Do you guys think I need replacement for both vcg and ofhg?

Yes looks like you need both those gaskets. And do yourself a favor and pick up a serpentine belt with replacement tensioner as well. Change the belt after you do the OFH gasket and not before.

Valve cover doesnt look very bad but bad enough to warrant replacement. it's gonna leak a lot more soon anyway that's about the mileage they go. that OFH is definitely shot.
For your own good, replace the belt and tensioner after you're done and spray down the front of the engine with brake clean. On my old 335i I didnt replace the belt with a leaking housing and oil slipped the belt off which wrapped around my crank pulley and pushed the belt through the seal and into the engine.
That was a 2000 dollar job dropping subframe removing pan and opening valve cover to clean up belt material from inside the engine
