What level of detail do you include in your instructions for install. Is it specifically which connector goes with which connector or does it include tips on running the wires as well. Thanks.

No instructions... this is more towards the experienced DIYer. Connectors either mate or don't, so there's no way to be confused.

Right now the JL Audio XD600/6 amp looks like a great amp for the specs, size, power and price. I don't know how much it costs in the UK, though.

Check the UK Technical forum for better ideas and suggestions.

Technic, quick question I'm thinking of adding one 12" sub to the setup would I need 5 channel amp or 6. Also probably a dumb question but a little confused as far as the cables running to and back from the truck when connecting them to the amp, do I just twist the two corresponding ones and then put them to each channel or do I need something to convert the in cables to RCA. I know from past experience with aftermarket radio it was an RCA cable to amp then speakers directly to the different channel connections.

So your idea is to keep the OEM speakers and add a 12" trunk sub while using my harness?

The wiring of the extension cable depends on the amp of your choosing; some amps accepts direct high level wire connection, some amps accept RCA high level connection, some amps accept only low level RCA connection.

Thus you could need nothing else to connect to an amp or you could need a wire to RCA cable, or a LOC with the extension cable.

If you want assistance with your install let me know by PM as I want to take pictures of an actual full harness install to show how my harness works.

Yeah just stock speakers and one 12" sub. Ok so ill look for an amp for direct wire connection so 5 channel I'm guessing. I think install is pretty straight forward after that.

I think that you will need at least a tweeter set in the front doors and a bigger mid bass speaker than the 6.5" that you have right now with that 12" in the trunk.

That will be too much "junk in the trunk" if you know what I mean...

Your putting to many ideas in my head all which I'm going to do. I'm going to hold off a little longer and revamp the whole system new speakers, get some sws 8 , and the tweeters for the front, might as well do it right the first time.
