E91 auto trunk opening

Hey guys has anyone did this mod? If someone did it what size and type die springs you used? Does the OEM struts do the work? Waiting for answers.

Yes, it's been done on a few cars. I was going to do this on my old Audi B6 Avant, but then decided not to as this is our family car and I don't want anyone to be smacked in the chin unexpectedly.
There's a reason those modern electric trunk struts open slowly and have built-in safety when obstacle is detected.
