E90 320i DME power supply (UPDATED)
Hi everyone,
I've got a 2007 E90 320i LCI. The car was running good but it suddenly lost power and stop. It now can crank but not start. At first I check the fuel, the pump is not runing and no power to the pump. I check with ISTA, there is no communication with DME. I checked that there is no power to DME even at the fuse. The fuse are good and the JB was replaced with a 2nd hand one as there is a reply inside JB. But the car still act the same, what's next I should check for? Thanks Last edited by ex824650; 09-20-2019 at 10:32 PM.. Reason: updated |

Okay there is a little update.
Firstly I give power directly to the DME and it also shown no communication. Then I put a 2nd hand DME from a 130i which is MSV80 and the comunication is back! Therefore I think the old DME is dead. Now the problem is can I code the MSV80 to my 320i? The DME from 320i do not tell what version it is. |

Another update here.
I purchase a set of used DME CAS and key. Basically PnP, after that I write VO to CAS whitch read from FRM, Reset the steering angle to clear DSC warning. Now the only problem is the doner CAS has lesser mileage in it, therefore the CBS is not functional. fault code e2d6 Is there any way to correct the mileage in CAS? or I can match the CBS with the new mileage? |
