I look forward to the additional information on v3.... it sounds like there are a lot of cool features the new Procede has to offer. It's really exciting to see so many great alternatives for our cars - whether its SSTT, Helix, JB, Dinan, AA, Procede, etc. In the end, we have some great options to choose from!! Congratulations, Shiv

The results are: confirmed treadwear on the evo x's tires... there is indisputably less tread than when Shiv started working on my car (the test subject for the otherwise stock 6MT 335i). However, I noticed he returned the favor!

I will be making a detailed write up after my drive home from work; a preliminary drive around the block did demonstrate that V3 was fast, predictable, linear, and responsive.

I would love that as then there is no worry about breaking pins and tape residue and all that. Just pop in and pop out to go to dealer. Also, everything else seems pretty much the same. Maybe a few wires are adjusted and we can't make that out but it appears mostly the same. I wonder if the map the V2.1 map... and the new wires make it a V3? Guess we will have to wait.

Oh and there is a power relay in there.
Correct. There is no longer any ECU pin extractions or electrical tape involved with installation. Just slide in the PROcede's female subconnectors into the ECU and plug the OE ones into the PROcede's male subconnector. It's a snug fit. No need for any fastening device. The only non-"slide-in" connection is for power (green connector). But that only takes a few seconds and is a breeze to get too. With the ECU lid off, the whole installation shouldn't take more than 5 minutes for even a novice. Quite literally, there is nothing to mis-install.

In term of functionality, v2.1 is a small subset of v3. You guys will see what i mean soon enough

We are VERY happy with the outcome. We've incorporated features and mapping flexibility that even steadfast reflash proponents will appreciate

Cheers,
shiv

So if this is a hardware and software upgrade, this statement tells me that you DO need to purchase a wire pack to upgrade to V3. This is like the V2 upgrade all over again (hopefully without the wait).

I am not hating. Just want some clarification.

Not sure, and dont care. I haven't have any so far, or my friends. If BMW made sure all the cars are done the same, we wouldn't have any problems. So not sure why all the blame goes only to PROcede, where most of is problems go to bad installs.

Hope this answer your question.

I'm positive a good portion of V1 and 2 problems had to do with faulty installation from miss-pinning to loose connectors. This new harness should help reduce a lot of that static. As for the other probs

My BIG question is, if the V2 harness cost $150, then how much is this thing gonna cost

Thanks, Will the current V2.02 users get the NEW EASY SWITCH SLIDE-IN CONNECTORS too? ,...or is this only for full purchase of V3 as a new customer?. Either way I'm sure we will enjoy the upgrade.

EDIT: Wait,..I think you said we dont have to purchase the new connector but there will be a harness adaptation.

The wire packs are already being manufactured. It will be less expensive than the v2 upgrade. It will consist of two more looms, two "T"s, the o2 sim harness and a new green loom with integrated relay. I don't think anyone will be upset with the (yet-to-be-determined) price.

yeah, cuz they are gonna release somethign with more problems, ok, uhu, yeah. blah blah blah. V2 was really an upgrade to V1.47, not sure why you kinda claiming v3 wont be an upgrade to v2.

There you go, there's more hating. if you are gonna say S**t like this, you'd better off your monitor. For all haters, just do yourself a favor, and stay away. Let us discuss what V3 is going to bring us. Instead of wasting Vishnu's crew time trying to defend themselves from the haters.

THANK YOU
