Shiv?

Strut brace? You think that will really do anything?
I think a properly designed one will help. Especially once you reduce deflection in other areas of the suspension. And yes, the Nittos are decent. But I don't think they are in the same league as the RE11s/Pilot Sports/etc,.

I've contemplated the RE11 and the RE01r. Yoko Ad08 and the Ps2. Its a toss up right now as they are all very price, especially on 19's which is not a practical size for dry traction.

+1, NT05's are a cheap way to get some additional traction

Atleast I can drift easy right now LOL. But sometimes I pull a 1 wheel peel. Shiv... I need LSD

I run yokohama advan neova ad08 in a 255/265 stagger

From my experience they are a bit more responsive at initial turn in than the bridgestone re11 so help eliminate the some of the understeer the stock car is known for when pushed hard.

Ya dude its always the right tire? What gives? Ugh.

I mean I do have a bias towards left turns but.... even on a lane change that right tire just smokes.
I guess its the rotation of the engine...
And this whole electronic LSD crap BMW boasts about, complete BS.

Just the way the engine torques the entire chassis... causes it to slightly twist and create a weight difference between the right and left rear corners. That's at least the way I understand it.

I'm also running a 255/265 stagger. The front tire width increase helped with understeer in itself. But what really helped a ton was installing the m3 front lower control arms which add a bunch of negative camber when cornering. The other arms/links did a lot of improve steering response. But the front lower arms induces a big change in suspension geometry. And they are inexpensive and easy to install

The procede response even before the new maps was one of the biggest helps running on the track compared to the stock car so now that its even smoother i can get power down more efficiently exiting corners.

I run about -2 degrees camber. Harold at HP autowerks hooked me up with some custom vorshlag camber plates for my ohlins coilovers and the difference as you said is very noticeable. The M3 arms are the next suspension mod on my list

Be that as it may, I'm looking for a tire that can hook up the 40 rolls.

As it is the hankooks I have now cant do that in any weather condition unless its like 90+ degrees. They simply arent sticky. Ever.
JP report back on these tires, I'll be buying new ones for my car in the next year or so. I need more traction. Spinning is fun at times but damned, I'd like to at least be able to accelerate at speeds under 75mph.

Shiv, you can come drive my car, turbo'd M3 but 300-400lbs lighter than a e92

Clap will know before me. But yea... Im kind of procrastinating throwing down $500+ for tires. My tires are in good shape but they just flat out suck for traction.

500 for just the rears correct? what do you have on the front? I've never liked having mismatched tires.

I've been running Vredestein Sessanta's for the past 2 years. I love them honestly but they need a bit more grip.

searched but realized I dont have any rear shots showing the tread pattern, its pretty unique and weird. You'd swear I have the tires mounted wrong

HOLY CRAP!! Was flying out all day yesterday, come back and new thread 3 pages long

The new maps are great. Been working with Shiv for the last few weeks and i can honestly say. NO MISFIRES. As most of you guys know, my car was misfire heaven with procede. I've had it all done on my car. New fuel pump, new plugs, new injectors, and new engine block. Wasn't much left. Shiv got this one just right. The car drives like a dream! Way more power all the way to redline, and a consistant push throughout the gears, 2nd to 4th. I'm not even pushing it. Running the map 2 55% UT boosting 15.5psi on 94Octane with meth. I can push it more but i'm out in Atlanta/ Florida for 3 weeks sowill play more once back!

Hey Sniz aren't these directional? Looks like your rear left is on backwards. Might be the dark but double check.

Hey Shiv, where do you source all the M3 suspension goodies? Best deal?

Here's a good link to a discussion on suspension mods: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=419998&page=3

...looking forward to trying out 3/15 DIC once I get my Nittos put on (Falkan 452s blow goats...actually had a tire crack)

I purchased them through the local dealership but I have a pretty good discount there. You can call up Harold at HP and get the full assortment of goodies. All the components costs a bit over $1000. Installation is pretty easy except for the rear subframe bushing which will take several hours of labor and require a hydraulic press. Definitely not DIY. But it all helps. Before all the upgrades, our brand new 2011 135 felt like a handling champ compared to our sloppy, wobbly, beat-to-death 2007 335. Now its the 135 that feels floaty and imprecise
