Easy cosmetic changes - side repeaters, gear knob & centre caps

I bought an e93 330d a few months ago and I think it looks great for its age but there were 3 really easy/cheap changes I wanted to make that I just didn't get around to doing until Sat. Just over £30 and under an hr to fit everything and I have to say I am pretty happy!

1) gear knob - was really nasty and worn. swapped with a cheap £9 replacement from eBay. Almost took my head off trying to yank this thing out and the whole gator came off with it too but went back together fine.

2) side repeaters - were yellow with age and although I prefer an OEM look on most cars I think the black lens suits the black paint on this. These are sequential indicators and cost £13 from eBay.

3) centre caps - these were old and bubbling in places and replacements were only £12 on Ebay. All came off pretty easily with a pry tool but I did have to drill out 1 of them didn't want to budge at all.

Really happy with these small changes.. now the car just needs a proper wash which I'll get to once this week of rain is through!

Stay safe all.

You should get LED side markers. Depot makes a nice set.

Easy cosmetic changes - side repeaters, gear knob & centre caps

A couple of suggestions:
If your gear knob isn't weighted, try to look for one. shifting feels better.

Also very cheap that I recommend doing is a clutch stop ($0-10), and CDV delete ($0-100 depending on ability to DIY). Together these three things improve the MT feel a fair bit!!

Then look at a SSK for even more improvement. The OEM SSK feels how the car should have come factory IMO.

Also, I got LED side markers from high performance bulbs (forum sponsor, high quality, affordable), and couldn't be happier.

Good luck!

Looking good, i dont suppose you’ve got the links to the items on ebay.

Theres so many on ebay and its always worth getting something that you know fits/works.

Or maybe remove the wheel and push it out from the back?
