As an Austinite for all of my life, I have to recommend against Zilker Park. The weekends are extremely packed there....we would all end up parking at separate locations all over the park instead of all parking right next to each other like we could at the Hula Hut. Just my two cents.

Just make sure it's not on a weekend night, Hula Hut and Oasis is packed like crazy for dinner. Looking forward to our first ever Texas meet!!!

maybe if some one from down there can work something out with the people who own the parking lot across from the hula hut where we can close one of the lots or somthing? there are 3 parking lots over there. all it would take is a couple of traffic cones across the entrance.

trust me fellas....there is never a problem with parking at the lots across from Hula Hut....I frequent there often, have had several "car meets" there with my Subaru pals....worst case scenario if the ground lots are packed, we move into the multi-story parking garage

yeah, I was thinking this would be better for an early to mid afternoon lunch-type meet....in order to avoid dinner congestion and have daylight. |

If people are coming from all around TX I think something a bit more social than just sitting in a restaurant would be good. Having an outdoor picnic would be awesome, but then we are slaves to the weather. Unless someone has a REALLY BIG tent

I was told that there's an exotic car club in Austin that take their cars through some rural roads, and it's one hell of a ride... anyone know what I'm talking about? someone should try inquiring about this route... it would be sick to get a ton of bimmers driving on that road!!!!1

i agree....hockeynut is a member of bimmerfest.com and he knows a bunch of people here in Austin....he usually coordinates all the monthly 'fester meets... we just need to decide on date and venue, then let him know (and post in here of course).....he has a huge mailing list of local BMW owners.... |

Hey guys, I'm new to the BMW community but not to the "car" community. Just FYI, I am the event organizer for TX2K - Supra Nationals and our event in 2008 is March 20-23. Our event consists of Road Racing/Driver's Education, Dyno Day, 60-130 Competition and Drag Racing. I would like to invite ALL OF YOU to come to any of the events if you have time. If you would like, I will happily post information on this (or on a separate thread) thread.
