its a forums after all....

people told user to search, not start new thread, his question was in your topic. He's not asking what's for dinner tonight...

If you don't want people speak about wagons and e90 swap on your e91 swap thread, its up to you, put a disclaimer or close the thread.

The major difference is that there's a bigger dip in the top of the rear bumper, ie, the hatch goes lower than the trunk does. This is so that long objects don't have to clear a lip to go in the back of the wagon.

I'd imagine that you'd have to cut the top off of your E91 bumper and plastic weld or something to the bottom of the E91 M-Sport bumper to get the same look.

Or just spend a small fortune on the E91 M-Sport bumper from BMW.

The shape around the outer tail lights is also different. I think the side is where it meets the light is a bit longer.

Nice Wagen!

Don't get to this forum much but just saw your build. Inspiring to say the least and local.

"M-Sport" rear bumper came in Friday... Unfortunately, it's just a normal 328i rear. The seller agreed to refund me the entire purchase, as it was listed with the wrong part number. Now I've got an extra 328i touring rear bumper cover laying around, primed and unpainted. If anyone needs it, PM me, we can try working out a deal.

Had a bit of fun installing my precision raceworks ignition kit the other day. Called a couple of friends up and made an install video out of it. Feel free to check it out! Hopefully I'll be releasing more youtube videos soon haha.

Ended up doing the OFHG gasket today, as well as the Oil Cooler gasket. Changed the oil, and the coolant just to be safe, everything's looking alright except for it looks like my rear main seal is leaking. Should've replaced it while the engine was out of the car lol, but oh well. Made another quick video of the entire process, hope you guys like it!

Lovely day today. Someone hit me while I was parked and ran off. I was in class for a total of one hour, and someone managed to hit me, damage my drivers side fender and headlight. Didn't leave a note or anything, just ran off. I'll upload some pictures later, but man am I ticked off at the moment.

Some more pictures as updates. Currently the car has a damaged drivers side fender still from the hit and run in the parking lot...

When I was under the car to drain my oil, I saw there was a good amount of seepage between the transmission and the engine block. Looks like my rear main seal is going out. Can't say I'm surprised, as it's got 110k miles but it does kind of suck.

Since I'm planning on installing inlets/outlets soon, as well as a new valve cover gasket and some other misc. gaskets, I figured I might as well make a few youtube videos out of it and pull the entire engine and transmission again as everything's way easier to get to with the engine out of the car. Most likely starting on this tomorrow, so if anyone wants more detailed pictures of swap specific things like the clutch lines and possibly wiring now is the time to ask for it lol. It'll be easy to show what I did with everything out of the car again.

Meanwhile, here are some pictures of the car as it sits!!

I'm thinking about selling it once summer comes around. It's easily the most fun car I've had, but my mind keeps moving on to bigger things hahaha. The next project hopefully is either another e91 wagon, but with a full m3 body conversion and a single turbo kit, or a full m3 conversion on an f31 wagon. If anyone's interested, send me a PM. Still planning on getting an msport rear bumper, m3 front bumper, coilovers, and a few other goodies so the wagon isn't finished yet

Clutch lines and wiring would be cool to see. They may already be floating around out there but would help wrap 'my mind' around this type of project.

Nice shots in-between all our rain lately, LOVE that last shot!

Very cool, never understood why we did not get 335i nor 335d in E91 here and why they would not be exempt from all the bs as we had both already imported.

Demand... There is no real demand for it here other than a few of us enthusiasts. Wagons are already rare... less than 1500 a year. If you look at how many people actually ordered the "sporty" versions (6mt, msport) its down to less than a few hundred a year... that's even rarer than an M3 at that point.

Merc makes a fast wagon, but its an e class and its AMG which puts it up there in the 6 figure range. Merc wagons are purchased by the top 1% or Merc customers (meaning the highest net worth customers typically have a big Benz wagon in their fleet.) And even then Merc doesn't sell a ton here... just like the CTSV wagon or the RS6. Most Americans don't like wagons even though they get the enthusiasts heart pumping.

Little bit of an update

Gosh, it's been forever since I was on here. Finally decided to hop on and catch up a little bit.

Car has a few little upgrades since the last photos that were posted, namely an MSport rear with an aftermarket diffuser, and an m3 replica front with a carbon fiber lip! No power-related mods, I'm more than happy with the current 400ish I have. Valve cover and gasket are definitely on the soon to-do list, just installed BC coilovers last week and I'm getting an alignment this upcoming Tuesday.

It's been an absolute blast, but I am considering parting ways with it. The kid inside of me wants to build something even crazier. Something like a 600whp e91 with an m3 body conversion, or an F81 M3!! Figured I might as well have someone take over this project and drive it before I start cutting panels for an m3 conversion hahaha. I'd love to hear what you guys think it's worth!

Enjoy the pictures!

Sadly, I think the aftermarket body bits will hurt you for resale. If it were OEM M3 stuff then it would be a neutral or positive point.

The one go racer put together sold for lows 20s iirc. Prolly similar - such a small market, who knows. Get the right bidders in the room and could be hot. But if not, not.

Yeah, I can definitely see that. I really like the aftermarket bits, I think they made it look much better and more aggressive, but then again everyone's got their own opinion and think differently. I was thinking somewhere in the low 20 range as well, it is a rebuilt title after all. Definitely planning on doing the full OEM M3 conversion next time around, quarter panels and everything else included!

Took a little bit of a closer look today at my leftover parts from the wagon, turns out I have a complete OEM Performance Exhaust for an N51/N52. I had guessed it wasn't stock from the beginning, it was quite a bit louder than usual when I started and moved the wagon around before I had done the swap. I thought it just had a resonator delete and never looked too closely.

Anyone interested in picking it up for their wagon? Figured I'd let you guys know first before posting it in the usual classifieds.
