Yep...one of these. I got a call last night from the chief instructor that they have FOUR newbie R8 owners coming to the event. I was selected to instruct one of them. Hope I get someone with a decent attitude. I guess I might get to take it around the track one session too. Nice huh?

Awesome. We had a guy in an R8 at one of my events last month.

There were a couple of Nobles running in my groups last weekend at Barber. Don't see those every day.

Nobles are hawt! I do however like the design of the new Q1 much better. Cleaner body lines than Nobles older design. If I could afford a dedicated track car this would be it.

If the driver knows what they are doing...they go fast. This guy just got the car...and was taking it easy. I have been on track with two different ones.

That is an aluminum strip on stock cars...some people end up requesting that part be painted...most leave it as is.

You can also request carbon fiber, right? But as of right now, it's not available due to high demand from what my friend told me.

Yes you see carbon fiber on occasion..someone her local to me spotted an R8 on the street here with the carbon fiber strip. If you are spending that much on a car..who cares about another $1-2K in price.

I've always wondered what a conversation goes like between instructors regarding their students...

"My student's car is faster than your student's car!"

Nah, it'd be like,

Instructor 1: "So how do I get this R8/Ferrari/GT3 student to let me show him a few good hot laps in his car?"

Instructor 2: "Ok, ok, I'll take my bone stock 330i out and pass your student in his R8/Ferrari/GT3 and I bet he'll be more willing to let you show him how it's really done. But you owe me!"

Because that's what we'd do if we were instructors.
