I'm sure I was over 400whp, but only dyno'd the car once and that was wayyy back when on V2 procede.

oh well, time to put down over 400whp in the "new" FI bmw instead

I can post up a bunch tomorrow. I'll have to get them from the dyno computer. FWIW, I was the first to break 400whp about a year ago. It's not really a big deal. Making close to 400whp on pump gas (without signs of obvious knock activity or poor boost control) is far more impressive.

I completely agree w that. I've always been more interested in pump gas numbers, honestly how often do you run around on race gas? 90% of the guys on this board probably use their 335's as their DD's, so its pump gas almost all the time.

show me big AND safe power on pump gas and I'll get excited. Hint Hint Shiv....get your meth kit out the door, people want it.

pump gas plus big power

you should also put if these are daily driver maps or just what was run for the dyno numbers.

1. congratulations on making 400whp a year ago.

2. i clearly stated in my OP that this was not a big dick contest & that i didn't want you or anybody else in here to talk shit about tunes or anything regarding tunes what so ever. i was merely curious as to how many ppl are over 400whp. i know quite a few ppl with heavily cosmetically modified cars that aren't tuned at all & since i don't know many ppl tuning out side of LA & i don't really know who's making 400whp in LA besides a couple of my friends i was purely curious.

3. i never say anything to you, i never say anything bad about you or your tune & quite frankly, i don't give a flying fuck but if you're going to come into my post & do nothing but talk shit & ignore my topic then please don't post here & feel free to start your own thread of how much better your tune is than the rest of the worlds & please see how far that gets you.

Methinks you are reading a bit too much into my post. Relax. And chill out with the profanity. It's unbecoming. The point I was making was 400whp on race gas isn't a rarity. There are plenty of people making that kinda of power without dyno sheets to prove it. It is much more of an accomplishment to make that power (or close to it) on pump gas. Sorry to rain on your parade. It wasn't my intention. I really didn't even know you starting this thread.

hit 400 whp a while ago.. around the same time Down4it hit 400. It was on 93 with Attache in 90+ degree temps. AA I/C , RR DPs, UR Intake, Forge DVs, whatever else I had... Man i miss those days... like Shiv said 400WHP is nothing.. its all about 450+ now. But i will leave that up to those without a warranty.. I valued mine a little too much and now I have a stock car with a perfectly functioning warranty. Only have 2 months left on the car.. but will really miss it. Gonna see what I can do with an X6 this time...

im still waiting to hit 400 but im taking baby steps, lol.. Dont forsee myself reaching the 450+ that you all are gunning for. I am curious how i would fair on a dyno though, just need to find a shop around here to knock it out. And as for people running race gas in a DD, i do it pretty often.(or a mix at least)

The new standard should be what can we make on 91/93 daily driven (depending on location).

100 octane runs are nice to look at though .

I don't know if I would call it "easy with few mods on race gas". My 2c is that it appears attainable if you have almost every common mod (tune, air intake, IC, DP and maybe other exhaust work) , race gas and assuming we're talking common maps for the available tunes out there.

"Special tunes" with significant (over 15+psi) boost are a different story.

I'm with you though in that race gas is kinda boring for me. Pump gas is more challenging (as are street tires) and a lot more impressive to me.

Actually you made it a dick contest with your original post, even if you meant to or not. If you really wanted to know, you shouldve just searched for it. Because clearly everyone who past that mark has posted on the board already right?

Did anybody click the link that Mike had attached to his post?
That thread shows a run on pump 93 hitting 400+
