Werd. let's remember we are all in the same family. none of this i paid more so mine's better bullshite... appreciate each for it's reason of being. in the end, this will push BMW to improve their entire lineup... like 6pot brakes and E-Diff eventually making their way up to the non-M 3 series for instance.

competition is always good, even within it's own brand.

Now, I must say that my opinion has changed and when I look at it now IMO it really resembles an e46. It looks like what the 3 series would have evolved to if BMW had continued with the e46 look, especially from the front. I might be wrong but this is what I see when I look at it. And since I am a fan of the e46, I can not continue to call the car ugly. I think it looks very nice. It is a little too small for me but it is not a bad looking car.
completely, 100% agree.

I wish the oner...

...had headlights that look more like the e92 headlights.
...had exhausts that look like the e92 335 exhausts.

Then, I'd probably consider it.

Hell if I could have that sweet bi-turbo engine in my E46 it'd be the best of ALL worlds!

I like the interior, the flip up navi screen is so much nicer than the clumsy one in the 3-series.

Can't get over the orange markers in the front headlights. I know moving them to the front fenders gives them something to do for the US mid cycle refresh but they should have put them on the fenders from the beginning like the E92.

Thought so too the first time I saw pictures and also saw it on GT5P. But after being around it physically and in person for a couple weeks, I love it. Pictures are a detriment to this car, sadly.
