whats been done to the head? skimmed/decked and ported?

Do you have new lightened valvetrain?

What pistons did you go with? Why are the pistons different in the two pics?

Those rods look damn sexy, and extremely beefy what the HP rating of them??

Valve guides replaced valve stem seals, valves also and tapets. Head been reconditioned.
Pistons are 84.5mm forge by pure performance. The pistons are all the same. I am guessing it's just the lighting when photo was taken. The rods are rated for 300hp per cylinder.

The pistons look totally different in terms of appearance?

Pic 1:

Pic 2:

Notice how pic 1 has some form of surface treatment (black in colour/appearance) pic 2 is just in as machined condition?

Not trying to hang sh!t on your parts Andrew, just want to clarify they've sent you 6 pistons that aren't mismatched...

Relax buddy. He was just curious. I thought the exact same thing and they definitely look different.

But what you said explains everything. Looks like one is before and one is after.

Another sick build, pity about the delays! Have you got your NBT fitted yet?

So engine arrived back today finally. Just waiting for it to be installed back in the run-in done on the dyno. Hopefully not much longer to wait. Then got to get 1500km on it before the fun times start with the tuning.

Yeah fingers crossed everything goes to plan. Everything internally is brand new in the block except the crank but I got it cleaned and polished etc. By tomorrow I should have a better idea how its running etc when I pick it up from the guys who are running it in on the dyno.
