Wheels & Suspension

Hi all,
Deep in mod ideas for my E92 m-sport (2008) and a couple of questions for you. Just need experienced advice please.
Currently running on oem 19s. Looking at bola csr in matt bronze with a 40 and 15mm drop on the suspension front and rear respectively, but question is can I go both routes without bodywork changes? If so, will I need to adjust tyre sizes (currently on the usual 225/35 and 255/30)?
Also, what are the best lowering springs to get desired drop? Happy to take on your expert advice!
Cheers all.

Hi.

To get a 40mm drop on the front you’re looking at coil overs really. Eibach prokit springs tend to drop about 25mm if that from M-sport ride height. The drop is specified from SE ride height when looking at what the manufacturers state.

Tbh a nice drop on something like prokit or sportline springs will be nice especially when combining with new rims.

Now as long as rim widths and offsets aren’t majorly aggressive then you shouldn’t need to worry about bodywork fouling etc.

Use something like willtheyfit.com to work out where the new rims will sit from current setup.

Hi, The below pic is on H&R sport springs with m-sport shocks and running 19" wheels with 225/35 on the front and 255/30 on the rear. The wheels are staggered so 8.5 on the fronts and 9.5 on the rear and all wheels are et25 offset. I'm not running spacers and no work has been done to the arches with no rubbing at all.
