Cobb stg2+ track runs today

Went to track today was about 52 degrees out I am FBO dp's fmic dci's
street tires.

Ran a 2010 5.0 GT was not even close he even got the jump and had a full car length by time time it was over he was maybe 2 car lengths behind.

There was a GTO there said he wanted to run but when I said yea and drove up he never came so who knows what happened.

Saw some EVO's out there today but no one wanted to play.

Cobb is consistent these are my normal times they vary by a couple of tenths but thats it surprised a little by the bad wheel spin i was getting think the track was way to cold the 12.2 run was a 2nd gear run not bad may try that more.

Thanks DZ hoping for some 11 runs in the future with some Cobb meth maps.

Anyone know how the GTO's run he did not look that fast but I can not be sure cause they do not show traps where i race at. Times are guarded like firgging gold out there cause they do alot of betting supposedly.

You just need a better launch, don't need more power to get into 11s...get the launch down with some sticky rubber

Spent tons on some 19 inch Rays, love the wheels but can not find any DR's for them wish I would have bought them in 18s.

They are definitely slow after he was a head at the jump I thought it was over but as I got traction I freight trained him.

Funny u should say that I have raced 3 and all 3 I have won the only vid is of me against a 2012 base model the other 2 I am not sure what they were i am sure they were not the Z06 or ZR1

Good runs! 11s is definitely possible with a better 60ft. I would need a prayer to get a 1.9 60ft with stock runflats.

stupid question but what do they put on the track to make it so shiny? some kind of sticky stuff for grip?

I have no idea. When u are on the track it just looks like rubber left from cars compacted on the track.

I need to get my ass to the track. These time slips look very consistent to other Cobb Stage 2+ FBO runs that have been posted over the past couple of months.

Has anyone broke into the 11's on Cobb Stage 2+ yet not counting those with access to the race gas maps?

I do not think so 12.17 @ 118 is the best i have done and that was on a nice cool night and a low 1.8 launch. This was a against a vette (sorry no vid on this one no one wants to go on cold nights an take vids

)they bring out the best in my runs

but i dont think its possible not on street tires and no weight reduction maybe 135 could.
