Does anyone here have Avant Garde wheels? If so, what are the tire size recommendations for 18"? Will they fit on stock tires?

Hey everyone, can we please keep this thread about body parts only.

I started another thread for Tires and Rims.

Thank you!

Thanks for running those numbers for me Devin.

I was able to get a company car until summer time arrives so I don't think I'll be needing the tires. but thanks again for your help. I'll let you know if I decide to get tires for the next winter!

Hey fabr,

Both are made by Carbon8.

The CF Vented Hood is 21 lbs. 2x2 weave ( I love this hood btw!! )

The CF CSL Trunk I believe I can get in 1x1 and 2x2 weave, but I can confirm tonight as my list is at home. Not sure the weight, but its significantly lighter as I have one on my car right now.

I'm sorry but what kind of question is this?
Recommended tire sizes for a 18" wheel would be an 18" tire...
Unless you mean width, then we would need to know the width of the wheel..
Should really post this in the wheel/Tire section.

lol didn't realize i made no sense in what i posted... multitasking at work lol

i'm looking into buying 18" M359 wheels .. however, I'm not sure if it will fit my current stock tires (225/40/18 & 255/35/18). I was told if i fit these rims on my stock tires... it'll looked stretched. And I'm asking if anyone here has got 18" Avante Garde wheels.. what tire specs are best.

does that make any sense now? lol

I believe they are functional. If I was not going back to stock, I would have picked one up this year for myself.

No it doesn't. When you ask a wheel/tire question you should always include the wheel specs ie. width/offset/dia + setup you want.

But I researched the wheels and they basically only have 2 sizes for the 18" setup. Now you can choose to go stagger, which is what they probably laid out 8.5 and 9.5 or you can go square 9.5 9.5 or 8.5 8.5.

Now assuming you want to go stagger you would probably want 245/35/18 and 265/35/18.

If you want 8.5 square you can do 255/35/18 with a spacer in the rear.
If you want 9.5 square you can do 255/35/18 and 265/25/18.

Unfortunately not they will not. The M3 hood is a little longer, so these would be too short and look off if you tried to install them on your car.

Only thing that's an exact match are the Trunks I am selling. Everything else is non-M3 at the moment.

Thanks! lol I'm still a newb when it comes to tires/rim sizes.. so I apologize if I made no sense and I'll be honest... not sure what the difference between 8.5 ad 9.5 is. lol

The difference is 1.

All jokes aside, that value represents the width of the wheel in inches.
