Switching the bottom end is too complicated and would require machining which probably is more painful then trying to stick a s55 in there.
I'm thinking just to go pure turbo and call it a day. Seems like this is far too much work for a mediocre result

BigBoostUsa has some bigger turbo kit although I am not sure of the fitment and with some of the turbo capacities you wouls be starting to talk forged internals.

Is it possible to do a bottom end swap with the n54 and install all the forged internals as well? Kinda like a 1.5jz. Has anyone done this? I would like some input.

Crazy idea but would like to try.

The stock N55 engine seems to eventually break at the 600+whp level. Pushing over 550whp on a stock block n55 is most likely going to lead to destroying rods and crank. Correct me if im wrong but there are VERY few n55's out there making over 600whp+. I think its pretty safe to say that no matter what turbo upgrade you go with the n55 will not respond very well to that much power.

I currently have a 2011 n55 335xi, FBO ps2 + high flow and port injection. 27psi making 540awhp/590tq and that seems about the most the car can handle

That isn't enough power? I know, it's never enough. As much as you've spent on hardware, money is not a limiting factor. I know, I have similar. A GTR would probably be more suitable for where you want to go.
