Amuse makes wicked stuff. I am going to guess its more than 10 lbs given the two can and increased piping, but not by much. Jeremy's exhaust weighs 9.5 lbs from catback to tip and thats a real short run of Ti, ya know?

An official of F1's governing body FIA on Thursday had a high speed crash at the wheel of a contemporary Grand Prix car.

On the occasion of Renault's 'roadshow' event in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates' automobile club President Mohammed bin Sulayem - also FIA Vice President for sport - shunted last year's R28.

On the main straight of the Dubai Autodrome, the car swung to the right under power and struck the concrete barrier, necessitating a visit for the 14-time Middle East rally champion to the medical centre.

Read this on the F1 website last week.

Mr. Fred Bell posted this on the DMVR board...figured I would share here in case anyone was looking...

The BMW Club is hosting a Photo Rally - open to all, and no entry fee.
In this type of rally, you're given a route to drive, and a stack of pictures that (mostly) show things that are somewhere along the route. Your challenge is to locate as many as possible of the items. No tricky course-following rules or time-speed-distance calculations - just find the items pictured.

Registration is from 9-10:30 at the Visitor Center of Living History Farms. The route itself takes about 1 3/4 hours to drive (at the speed limit), and you'll probably spend at least another 30-60 minutes stopping to look for things along the way. Even the most diligent should be done in about 3 hours.

We'll have a post-drive gathering at the meeting room in the Tavern II in West Des Moines, starting at about noon. Prizes and other comments to be announced at 1:30 or when all contestants have arrived. Lunch is Dutch treat.

Contact Jeff Daly (jsdaly@mchsi.com) to get the pictures emailed to you in color the night before, or suffer with B&W handouts from registration on Saturday. I strongly recommend color!

Yes, this is probably my 1st and last informative post on here. I like to postwhore is all...

Saw this, figured it would keep Beemer entertained since it sucks like a dyson up in here...

Got a Ferrari?

Not quite good enough at driving?

Are other boys faster than you in the wet?

Then you need:

Ferrari International Assistance (FIA)

This exclusive Ferrari only membership club has many benefits.
Including:

Anti overtaking assurance
Been overtaken? Feel a bit silly? Don't worry, we'll rule out the other
party even if it embarrassingly obvious that they're faster than you

Exclusive access to a secret "second lane" in the pits
Just to make things a little bit easier we've arranged a private second
lane just for you

Guaranteed world championship?
Had a crash? Need to win the world championship? Don't worry just limp
across the track and take off your nearest championship title contender
- we'll do the rest

A bit strapped? Need extra cash?
Simply get one of your team to tell someone else how you make your cars.
We'll guarantee a $100,000,000 windfall so that the rich get richer!

Bits falling off your car? Looking a bit dangerous?
At Ferrari International Assistance we operate a "blind eye" policy just
for Ferrari drivers

Been a bit silly? Taken off another driver whilst following the safety
car?
It's ok, as long as you didn't hurt yourself. I mean, who are Force
India anyway? And how dare they be in front of you

A bit bored? Want some extra action?
With FIA plus you can take part in a number of additional membership
activities including the popular "kill your pit crew" game

Not sure when you might need us next?
Relax. Check out our track record. We're confident that we'll be able to
make something up on the spot that will get you out of any pickle that
you might find yourself in

Bonus offer!

* Order our FIA plus pack and receive exclusive access to our Nazi style
orgies *

I spent an hour that night trying to re-book my flight and didn't accomplish anything. Tried again in the morning, nothing.

So I had it all figured out, or so I thought...

Flight leaves - 10:30
Gates open - 8:00
Time to get to the airport from Road Atlanta - 1hr 5 min
Time I left - 8:35
Time I actually checked in - 9:52
Time I needed to check in - 9:50

DAMNIT! Oh well, made it home only 2 hours late via stand by!

So about the cars... I got to the track and wasn't real excited about paying $20 to look at cars for 30 minutes so I talked to the security gaurd and he said "here's your early Christmas present (see first two pictures), big thanks to him and Road Atlanta for that!

So I head to the pits, totally ignoring the enclosed pit area where the real $$Money$$ is at, and headed to the main area to find a sea of F430's getting ready. There was about 30-40 F430's

-- Find some more commentary in between pictures:

I think right about here is where I jizzed in my pants the first time

The last trailer I stopped at had a 350 and a brand new Ferrari California on display, pretty cool to see!

I asked the guy that was there where the FXX's were I'd heard about and he pointed me to the enclosed pit area I drove past earlier.

Here's where I jizzed in my pants the second time

In the enclosed pits I found 3 FXX's, 2 F1 cars and some other Ferrari powered race car, possibly some sort of kit? I'm not sure.

This is where I jizzed in my pants the 3rd and 4th time (warming up the F1 Twin Turbo car)

I do have some video of the twin turbo F1 car and the kit car warming up, as well as one of the pit crew going over how to use the FXX tuning/diagnostics software that comes with the FXX's

VERY VERY VERY nice!!!! That's a 333sp, it used to be Ferraris' GT racer. Like an LMP2 car if you will, I'd take one in a heartbeat. In fact I have one on video at RAmerica, as it took away from me in the pits to start OUR session. Yeah our session, I had one in my class at a driving school......sooooooooo BA
