Pre lci offsets

18x8 et 40 and 18x9 et45 on 07 328i. Think they'll be issues with this? Was planning on 225/40 and 255/35.. I currently have a 15 and 20mm spacer front and rear.

Why not 235/40 & 265/35?

Try the spacers. I think it'll work.

With spacers they will be ok. Without spacers those wheels will sit close, if not too close, to the struts (I.e. too far in)

Comparing your new wheels to the Sport wheel specs of 18x8 +34 and 18x8.5 +37...

Fronts will poke out 9mm more, compared to stock.
Rears will poke out 18.4mm.

Fronts should be perfectly fine. Rears, you might find you need a roll as that's approaching the limit of what does/does not rub. Every car is slightly different, as is every tire brand/model as far as actual dimensions and shoulder profiles. Most likely fine if you stick with 255s.

I thought about that but I wasn't sure if they would be too tall. The 225 I think would have the right amount/just barely any stretch to keep the sidewall down just a C-hair. I'm on springs so I'm just trying to get a rough idea. I haven't put the wheels on yet for test fit cause I've been stripping them and prepping them for powder coat. I just buttoned up between yesterday and today M3 wishbones and thrust arms, Bilstein shocks/struts (the OE sports) with Godspeed springs. It sits really nice but I'm just wondering about the wheels. If I need to I could put the rear springs back in but I'd rather not if I don't have to. I got the wheels so damn cheap from an older gentleman that I almost had to buy them haha they're ASA AR1's. They are the black with machined lip but he spray painted the lips black too and it came out horrible but I got em for $150 so I thought that was a decent deal haha

I'm hoping it doesn't come to that haha but I can if need be. I wish they were in 30mm range but oh well.
