Why would you go with Dynamic autowerx after your turbo got blown and risk it again? 🤦 |

Nice to see other larger housing twins! If they hold together they should make good power. Maybe you can trap higher than my full weight manual e90 this year 😉.

they look like the GC housings. I have not seen one like the RB GF'S yet. RB's still look significantly bigger?

The zage and all the others are basically the same or worse than stock. It looks beefier on the outside but inside is the same. They were direct copies of the MHI turbos. They went to cast because this meant they did not have to rework OEM manifolds. Just google this: "Zage (GC) turbo housing specs, pictures, failures, and dyno cheating allegations" "Exagerrated N54 dynos and vendor claims plus turbo failures" The newer RB GFs actually have improved manifolds. It looks like DAW just got in contact with Zage. If you want Chinese turbos just look on Alibaba or Ebay.

The manifold on these looks more like the new VTT F-RBs than Zage. Has Zage updated their manifold design? I didn't think VTT used Zage anymore. Seems more likely that whatever shop VTT contracted to is selling to others with their own logo.

Keeping this alive..
I realize that some may knock on these turbos, but to each their own. Ive personnally gone with VIV stage 4 which are being installed now, due to my stock front turbo taking a dump. Question: are these DAW the same as the VIV 19T stainless V4? I suspect there may be 1 build house for these turbos.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/284415829950 |

^ This is actually a good catch. There are some subtle differences from these VIV to the DAW turbos. Especially if you watch the new Zero to 60 video on the Flow Max.
The VIV has cheaper looking clamps for the upper to lower housing than the DAW. The upper part of the housing looks less bulky. The machining and casting doesn't look as smooth. The manifold where it bolts to the head looks thinner. Both the tubing and the base plate itself. Honestly when I saw the Flow Max manifold for the first time I was wondering how much HEAVIER it was than a stock turbo. Most of these in the past have quite surely appeared to be exactly the same, adding to the evidence these all come from the same factory, but this case may actually be slightly different. Also.....on a side note, did the twin set from "Tomioka" always have that separate upper and lower manifold? All the way back to 2018-19. I don't think I ever really saw someone order one and review it, but I am pretty sure they were the first I ever saw have that modular manifold design. |

Look very similar.
Clamps are the same , both stainless manifolds. Still not sure these things deliver. I havent seen anything to indicate these turbos make more power than stage2s . You would expect 9s in full weight cars with 140+ mph terminals based on how much power the claims are on them. Some of the " you need an upgraded exhaust or the turbo will fail.." DAW misinformation on the zero to 60 vid. |

I've seen plenty of people reporting their DAW have failed pretty quick on them.....why not go with something proven like RB or Pure?

Bump. Is DAW reliability still questionable?
